Old Hippie Bus Pt. 2

This is the highlight of my trip to the Skeen family cabin.  And it is every year.  We hike not too far from the cabin to this random old hippie bus in the middle of the mountains.  The cabin we stay at has no water or electricity.  It really is in the middle of no where in the Rocky Mountains of Utah.  We have to drive out miles and miles on dirt roads.  How this random bus got out there, I will always wonder.  It has remnants of a bed, a fridge, a sink, and other such things.  Someone must have lived there at one point.  I wonder what they were like.  Crazy?  Revolutionary?  A hermit?  A hippie?  I really want to know the story behind bus number 14.

What a fun tradition! Happy b-day to your hubby... How neat to have memory photos from each year. You're right, that is SUCH an intriguing mystery! How random is a bus in the wilderness? Sounds like a good premise for a book if you ask me :-). Happy Tuesday to you!

It's fun to conjure up stories of what and how that bus got there.

p.s. have you seen my post on camping in Italy? Your camping is so different from here.

This bus seems so cool! I can't help wondering about all the history behind it.

Btw, what is the music playing on your blog? I really like it.

I absolutely LOVE the bus. :) I still run into real, old hippies every now and again, in the festival world, and they sure did some crazy stuff you'd be surprised. I've heard of like 6 people living in busses together and traveling the country!

your hippie bus photos are SO fun! i love it. my college boyfriend lived in a vw camper bus in the woods. it was pretty cool, but definitely not as pretty as those hippie buses!

It is sooo adorable how you have a tradition with your husband of going to this place for a picture every year. How precious that is going to be in a decade's time! Also you are super pretty!

Have a lovely day!

What a wonderful thing to do. Nothing like getting away from it all and being surrounded by nature, and an old bus?! This is really weird isn't it. I too wonder how it got there. I think you're right, an old hippy. It's not like it would have been air lifted there?!! Pruxxx

hey this is real neat.
i'm sorry i never visit your page anymore. its because it has music on it and i'm not allowed to stream any sort of music at work. so it scares me that i'm going to get in trouble. its not because i don't like you. because i love you, really.

you are so inspiring to me.
