Weekend Wonderment

"If you're going to San Francisco
Be sure to wear some flowers in your hair"
- Scott Mckenzie from the song San Francisco
Tomorrow I am headed to Lake Tahoe and San Francisco, California.
I'll be gone for a week enjoying the "City by the Bay".
I will immerse myself in the rich culture, magnificent sights, and scrumptious food.
Please excuse my absence.  My sister will be publishing my posts for me.
If you don't hear a response from me for a week, you know why.
Have a wonderful weekend!
Have you been to San Fran?
Any suggestions?
Also, be sure to check out my interview this Sunday on A Reflection By Tuesdai!

Rachael,

I work in SF! How fun that we are so close. The Marina is great for shopping and little restaurants. If you like Mexican food, Mamacitas is wonderful. Union square has all the big stores, alcatraz is fun, hiking in Marin is amazing (across the golden gate) and of course the golden gate is really a great walk too.

If I see you on the street I will say hi ;)

I went in 2005 with my mum and grandma for 4 days.. I LOVED it.. but with our short time and going with my mum and gran, we did lots of tourist trips. Alcatraz was amazing and I would recommend this to anyone. We also did a city tour which I LOVE.. I have been in love with the Painted Lady buildings and the beautiful architecture of SF for years, it was amazing to see firsthand. We also took a trip upto Muir Woods which was beautiful.

I'm sure you will have a lot of fun in San Francisco. Food and shopping will be things you need to do there. Places to visit, Fisherman's Wharf, Crooked Road. Chinatown has a lot of really yummy Chinese food but you'll have to hold your breath at some places because they smell kinda funky. hehehehe. While you're in town, why not drive down to Vacaville to visit the Factory Outlets. I wish I was in California, I would definitely show you around. I'm missing California a lot. We used to go down to Lake Tahoe every weekend too. Have fun sweetie!

I live in the North Bay-Napa/Sonoma area. There are so many fun things to do! All of the touristy things are fun: walking the Golden Gate, Coit tower, Lombard, Pier 39, shopping on Market, Wicked @ Orpheum...on and on. Castello Di Amorosa is one of my favorite places-in Calisotga about an hour and 20 north of San Francisco. If you are in Santa Rosa send me a message!
