Conversations: How Old Are You?

{via}

Whilst driving home from our holiday travels the topic of "age" came up.

My husband said, "Well I am 27".
I pause, think, "you are 26 . . ."
Hubby, "Well 26 and a half.  Closer to 27".
I squint my eyes, "you forgot how old you are huh?"
Pause . . . "Well . .  yes", He says in defeat.
I burst with laughter.

At some point, you just stop counting.

I do this occasionally. If someone asks me on the spot, I'll forget how old I am and say the wrong number! :)

My husband never remembers--he's 27. Of course, I forgot how old I was a just a few days ago and had to remember based on his age. Every time one of us has a birthday, we have to work extra hard to remember. It's so funny, isn't it?

Haha - this is hilarious!! Over here we use our birth year a lot, as in I could ask someone if they're an 86-model. Makes life easier :P

Ahh this is so funny :) My boyfriend always thinks he's older than he is, too, while I find myself thinking I'm younger than I really am. Either way, I think it's more about the days in your years than the years in your days, if that makes any sense :) Hope you've had a great start to 2012!

26-28 have been hard for me. They all run together and I have to stop and think before I say my age. I'll be happy when I'm 30 and can have a nice even number to remember :)
