Ghost Horses in Salt Lake city

I work on the West Side of Salt Lake City; seeing grafitti is a normal.  Lately, however, I have noticed horse grafitti on buildings downtown.  Horses? I have seen them on three different buildings.  They stay up for a week or so then they get removed.  While driving around Salt Lake yesterday I notcied another and I decided to get a picture of it before it became a ghost as well.

As you can see it is not painted on.  It is a life size horse made from a paper material that has been glued on the side of a building downtown.  I am a bit baffled and I have to admit I hope to see more of these gianty beauties around.  I would love to do a photo shoot with them for my shop. It's definitely a different take on the usual grafitti.

P.S. Don't miss out on the {Shabby Apple Dress GIVEAWAY}.

This is pretty awesome.

I just moved, but I lived in the Bay Area for pretty much my whole life, and I took the train often to get around and to get to my college from home. My favorite part of the ride was always seeing the graffiti on the walls along the way. There was this one person that did Giraffe's like this one: http://bit.ly/sLTa9G

He got caught though and went to jail. I was pretty sad when I found out. There was another person that did mummies, those were even more awesome.

I really like the fact that this person is choosing to do something that isn't as permanent though. The horses are pretty nifty in general too. :]

Wow that is actually very beautiful. I love street art, as long as it enhances the city and doesn't deface it. I would love to meet the mysterious person posting the horses.

I have to admit; that is fascinating and a very unique way to grafitti. It amazes me sometimes when I see grafitti...I mean, some of the people doing it are so damn creative and talented. I don't condone defacing public property, but you know what I mean.

I'm sorry that I missed your last giveaway too. I had shoulder surgery and was out of commission for a few weeks.

I have noticed these as well around the downtown. I was searching Google to see if something was happening downtown and found your site. I'm excited to see I'm not the only one intriqued with the horses. I want to see more, and hopefully get pictures. The next on the vacant building by Ginza Sushi was tore off in less than a day
