I love older homes with character and charm. The hubs and I are looking for a home right now. I can't say I would like this much of a fixer upper like pictured above, however I do love homes with character. I can picture the homes above having some real charm, if only they were given some love.
When I found {THIS} website I was intrigued by all the abandoned dilapidated houses. It leaves me with so many unanswered questions. I hope you have a lovely Tuesday!

I live in the suburbs of Detroit and immediately thought - this must be Detroit. I wrote a whole post about beauty in the dilapidated, but haven't yet hit the publish button. I kind of forgot I wrote it. Love that site you linked to. It is just so sad - the beauty that once lined the streets - it makes one wonder how this ever happens.
I also wonder about their stories--why were they abandoned? Who lived in them? Were they happy? Good luck on your search for a home!

I hate to see old houses that are abandoned. They have so much potential and character. It's a shame they aren't cared for and lived in. I hope you find a lovely old home to call your own! :)
There's something to say about homes with character. I can't stand driving through developments where all of the houses look the same. Or the ones where there are no back yards. Our first house was built in 1925. It was full of character and even had the old rope-pulley windows. That kind of look is why we bought it.
