15% of women will send themselves flowers?!?! Surely not--that is crazy! And kind of hilarious. :) I suppose I am somewhat average American, in that I bought valentines (well, supplies to make them) and a red sequin headband. Plus cupcakes for my students!
I guess I am not one of those Americans... Although it is sweet to have a day dedicated on Love, I think we should be loving and giving every day, and we don't need balloons and confetti to be so... Love has do be lived and constantly expressed to be true love.
wow, that's alot of dollars! this year since hubby is still overseas I only sent him an online greeting card, inexpensive way to say I love you...but my sister's kids had a valentine's party at preschool, they were required to purchase greeting cards, and bring goodies. I can see how the average amount of $120 dollars can add up.
Hope you have a wonderful and romantic day with your loved one!
this is cool, it is so interesting to see the break down!
boy and i exchanged card and little gifts (under £10), plus he surprised me with flowers which was really nice :) we celebrated by taking a little day trip to the seaside and walking around in the rain! it was fun and just right (im not an extravagant girl!)

wow, this is so interesting.
I tend to find a hand written letter on a piece of lined paper the most romantic (cheapest) thing in the world!

that's a little depressing. i had my mom send me flowers to the place i was working once so i wouldn't feel like a loser on valentine's day, ha!
happy v-day! i hope you have a great one!
Husband and I used to buy each other gifts; now we'd rather splurge on a nice weekend and dinner out of town.
13 billions... that's a lot!

i loved reading this! these are some interesting facts.
this year, i didn't spend a cent on valentine's day memorabilia. :\ i'm not sure if that's a good or bad thing. haha!

Interesting, esp the part about buying stuff for your pets! :-)
Hope you and your hubby have an amazing Valentine's Day!
Love your new items up in your shop, AND just wrote the winner a message, and mailed the other 2 winnings out:-)
What interesting facts. Love is a booming business indeed.
Very provocative facts indeed. I am neither average nor American so this does not apply to me;-)
