How I Spent My Labor Day Weekend

The hubs and I took a trip to Maple Canyon, UT for a fabulous day of rock climbing in celebration of labor day.  We both led six different sport climbs and felt very accomplished.

We recently purchased rock climbing helmets, and thank goodness we did.  Maple canyon is known for rock fall because it is conglomerate rock, as you can see in the second picture.  But that is not what can pummeling down on my husband's head.  His helmet saved him from my gum.  It fell out of my mouth as he took the "bum shot" you see above of me at the top of the climb.

After climbing we visited Ephraim, UT where I went to Snow College, a two year college where I earned my associates.  I don't think I have ever been more sleep deprived than those two years of my life.  Man I miss those days.  We stopped by my favorite pizza place and a penny candy store, which you see pictured above.

found your blog on FRESH GRACES blog. I love the feel of it and I think Audrey Hepburn is so amazingly beautiful. She actually struggled with an eating disorder (anorexia) and I battled with that for a while so I feel like I would have connected with her had we met.

I have never been rock climbing however I don't know if I would be able to get down. I have a fear of heights but I want to really want to be more adventurous and try some things that I just DONT do. lol. thanks for the reminder!

Hey I went to Snow College too! Good times :) I used to go to every dance and we'd go on Denny's runs down to Salina at 2 AM.
