In My Thinking Chair

I've been visiting my thinking chair a lot since I've been home from my four -month-long travels in South America on what I should do career wise.  (No I did not catch a bug or anything, thank goodness.  I just thought this picture was too darn adorable).  I am home in Utah now and I have to figure out what direction I must step to lead me to a successful future.   The door is wide open.  So wide open and so new that the light is flooding in and I feel blinded.  I don't know where to start.  Yes I have a degree, yes I have experience, but... what do I want?

I have two interviews today.
Wish me luck!

That seems like such a fun thing to do, "Thinking Chair"? I wanna have my own as well :p

Best of luck for the interview, sweetheart. But I don't think you even need it, who wouldn't want to hire such a wonderful person as you are :) Ok, rock the day!

Big good ((luck)) vibes going your way. I think the best thing to do right now is just follow your heart and don't try to make a permanent life decision when it comes to figuring out what to do. It will happen! Again good luck!

Lots of luck your way. You've got the biggest thing down--you're remembering that it's about you and what you want, not just about impressing your interviewers.

Also, this picture makes me laugh. I went to Europe last year with a good friend and we came up with code language for taking a crap. It was quite necessary. We called it "thinking" :)

Good luck! I was exactly the same when we returned on our travels..randomly I landed up after having various interviews going back the same company but in a completely different role, which I am loving. But now have plans to start my own business....x

Rachel! I was JUST thinking the same thing...in fact, I was up all night thinking about exactly that! I think we all cross that path at some point...interesting, isn't it...life can be a mysterious adventure at times! :)

I am sure you will no need any luck and will be simply FABULOUS on your own at your interview, but I am thinking of you and sending lots of smiles your way!

You are adorable!
It's so hard to figure out where to start, but just take things step by step.
Good luck. Always remember that it's what you want, not what others want for you.

I just found your blog through Little Bear Stories and I really like this post. Love the boy reading on the toilet, but someone should tell him that this leads to hemorrhoids later in life. :)))

I think you're at a great place in life where the world is your oyster kind of thing. It can lead anywhere and that's the best part. You're not stuck. You're moving forward.

Look forward to reading more.

Dear Rachael,

I wish life could be as simple as the original beautiful beginning. Just as you named your blog "It's Simple Love", and it's a pure and plain happiness idea in the world.

Thank you!!

Looks like you've already found a spot (congrats!) but I know exactly how you feel. It's overwhelming, exciting, scary...it's crazy, but such a great gift to have. Can't wait to hear about your new gig!
