Sloth Speed Ahead!

My internet connection is slower than a baby sloth (like pictured above).  Who would've thought that in the middle of the Amazon Jungle it would be this bad?  Anyways, I want to share with you all my adventures and the plethora of priceless pictures with you pretty people. Unfortunately at this time my connection will not allow me to upload photos at a faster pace than one per hour.  Yes I waited one hour for this to upload.  I kept myself entertained with other things while checking on this photo every so often.  Wow.  Patience is a virtue right?

So out of all the 296 pictures (in five days) we've taken since we left Trujillo, Peru (where my husband was doing an internship thru Utah State University and I was learning to cook Peruvian food), why did I choose this one?  I'll tell you.  It's because this picture marks the completion of one of my life goals.

A couple things on the list:

1. Ride in a limo, roll down the window, and ask if the person in the car next to us if they have any Grey Poupon Mustard (did you see that commercial? if not it's below).     CHECK.
2.  Ride an elephant in India (not fulfilled yet).
3. Hold a sloth in the Amazon.  CHECK.

In fourth grade I wrote a report on sloths (we were learning about the Amazon Jungle at the time) and since then it's been a strong desire to hold one in the Amazon.  Today was an amazing day.  I hope to share more soon.  On Tuesday we go to Cuzco.  I hope our internet connection is better there.

P.S. Did you enter my GIVEAWAY yet?

That is the coolest picture. I remember that commercial when I was a kid--my brother and I would always say that in the car when we were at stop lights. LOL.

Well, I hope you're getting comments quicker than you're uploading. What an amazing experience! Don't know that I'd want to hold that sloth, but you sure look gorgeous with him in your arms. That could be a photo from some exotic fashion shoot.

I do, BTW, want to ride an elephant before I die. :)

Unfortunately we didn't get as far as South America had to come home early due to my dad being unwell. Enjoy every minute. V. impressed how glamorous you are looking in the jungle!

Thanks for your sweet comment!!!

Now I must ask, is "advertising" leaving a link to my blog? I only do it because I am connected with a google account and I find that sometimes I can't view other people's blogs by clicking on their name!?!? and that drives me crazy! I'm not as tech savvy as some may think, but just wondering???

Much Love,
Hope :) xxxxx

oh dear girl.
you are RADIANT.
also i love your use of alliteration. also. you are holding a baby sloth.

also.
it is strange how someone can look up to someone and not really know that someone. but feel like they know that someone. well one of those someones is me and one is you and with that, we make two, and you are a stranger that doesn't feel so strange, to think about knowing, and looking up to. in all honesty. you're glorious.

and the above stated comment about you being radiant. well it's true.
you glow from the inside out and all i see of you is images. pictures. and i can feel the warmth. i'm positive the people you meet are blessed. i am positive.

congrats on accomplishing two of those life goals. feats. finished. fin.

love,
tif

Sweetie, I'm glad you are having so much fun. You are awesome.

So, I decided not to email him. You are right. He doesn't deserve any of my time. I'd rather comment on wonderful blogs than waste time emailing a mean person.

LOVE!

I went to India, but no such luck riding an elephant. I was really kind of sad :-( The only elephants we actually saw were in a roadside Indian Circus. Disappointing to say the least! At least there were cows everywhere.
