Can You See Why?

This is what I have to work with? 
Ah. I am not doing so hot when it 
comes to cooking down here.  
In fact,  I stink.  
I am thrown out of my element.  
Any suggestions?  
Is anyone else scared of buying a 
whole chicken like that?  
It's absolutely terrifying to me.
